While the excellent Endeavour continues to delight both audiences and critics alike, it is interesting to compare series writer and deviser, Russell Lewis' vision of young Morse with the way in which Colin Dexter portrays him in this short story published by the Daily Mail in 2008 as part of a Christmas serial special.
